Also she wanted her and George to get together. She gave many pre-Gizzie interviews saying they were meant to be together. I used to love Izzie but frankly with Lexi around she kind of fills the Izzie role. I would much rather have Preston back. I miss his character. This was a good ep. I really enjoyed the scene with Cristina and the board. What she said about her and Preston was all true. I feel bad for poor Rose. Oh Paike, it was wonderful to see Addison back last week! Posts: 7213 05/12/08 7:55 AM	A part of me likes Heigl for being vocal. Unfortunately, tough, opinionated women are generally seen as bitchy/whiny instead of strong. On the other hand, Heigl tends to stick her foot in her mouth with some of the things she says, and those are the sound bites that the media focuses on. I certainly didn't see them mention in that article how she stood up for her friend (T.R. Knight) when Washington called Knight a "f-gg-t." My opinion of Heigl really hasn't changed. She's never been a favorite actress of mine, and Izzie has never been my favorite character on the show. I liked this ep, too. Cristina singing "Like a Virgin"...and Lexie joining in was fantastic. And kudos to whomever wrote that speech for her about being Burke's right hand and how she's getting punished for it, while Burke gets all the credit. I actually like where things are going with Meredith. I like that she's dedicated to this clinical trial. I like that she's in therapy - I just wish the therapist could have literally said "bullshit" to Meredith's "good day." Stupid TV censors! That was an excellent scene and Meredith was finally asked the questions she'd been avoiding. Sloane's story was very cute, too. It gave Bailey some great lines: "He's a whore!" She said stuff like how they were soul mates and it was destined to happen. Now she is saying the crap she is saying. She also said while she was filming Knocked up how much she loved the movie and the character. Then she spouted off that crap. It seems like she changes her mind like she changes her undies. I don't know how much of her pro/anti-George & Izzie comments might have been her being given "recommendations" as to what to say by her publicist, the GA powers, or even the studio. I don't know. Isaiah has filed a formal complaint with the Screen Actors Guild over the promo, alleging that they can use the character, but not the image, to advance a story. Washington's Dr. Preston Burke was featured in a news story that Sandra Oh gazes at in the offending clip. I remember when Shannon Doherty left 90210 they were not allowed to use her image in any way shape or form just the name of he character. I think it's the same here. I say go for it. Plus even though he was a world class dick I think he is still smarting with the way ABC dumped him. He did exactly what they wanted. If say, they had a flashback using old footage, then he has no case, but since it was an image, that was not taken for the purposes of this episode specifically then he'll probably get some money and an apology. It wasn't very smart on the part of the producers to use the image in the first place. She's spent the past four seasons as a self-absorbed self-destructive annoying narrator. I wish she has drowned last season, it would have put her out of her misery. I do like the fact that Derek and Slone are BFFs again. I like their back and forth banter. I feel bad for Ava/Rebecca. I thought that she was just being manipulative, but it turns out she's crazy.

Posts: 7213 05/19/08 10:41 AM	I'm a big fan of Meredith being in therapy. She needs it and it seems to be helping her get to the root of some of her issues. I mean, with her past, do you really blame her for having issues? More so, do you blame her for trying to do something productive about it. It was really sad to see Bailey and Tuck fighting in front of their son. I like that George came to the rescue a couple of times. While I'm glad that Rebecca isn't being manipulative, I don't care much for her character or the storyline. I also hope they don't pursue Callie as a bisexual. If Hahn's gay/bisexual, that's fine. But can't they just be gal-pals. It almost seems trite to turn Sara Ramirez's character from a plus-sized Latina doctor to a plus-sized GBLT Latina doctor. They actually made me care about Mer/Der again. Who would have thought that!
