Very good ending for the season. I knew Chuck wouldn't remain faithful either but he's really become an interesting character. I believe he does care a
lot for Blair but once his dad started talking abou the future I knew it was over. lol. I really think I will like this Chuck. Dan and Vanessa, Serena and
Nate. The more things change, the more they stay the same I guess. I can't wait for next season.

~*Dan is an ass. I hated the way he reacted. Boo! I am not happy that every couple broke up but I guess it's good we will get
a little bit of them in the summer. My question is how will Vanessa(Who bores me) and Dan run into Serena and Nate in The Hamptons?

I really don't get why Vanessa and Nate broke up?

I don't get that either except that maybe he thought he needed a little time and maybe what Blair said hit Vanessa and made her think. Or maybe she just
realized Dan would be free and would rather go for him. Dan is being an ass but I kind of got what he was saying in terms of her not being honest. If she had
been upfront about the whole thing then the situation he found himself in with Georgina would never had happened. But I get why she was so afraid.

~*It seems they broke up Nate and Vanessa just so they could break up every couple. Angel may have a point though. Vanessa seems puppy dog enough to dump Nate so she could hook Dan. I never liked the idea of her and Dan and I still don't. Really I don't care for Vanessa anyway. She is boring and just blah. I get what Dan was saying but he seems to not get the fact that she was scared to death. She blamed herself for someones death. The guilt she felt was enough to make her change her whole like. Dan needs to get that. Serena loves him so much she was willing to look past him sleeping with Georgina when she thought he had. Dan likes to spend much of his time judging everyone. It would be hard to be his girlfriend.

I thought for sure Lily and Rufus were going to run off together, and she's be on his tour bus like it was the early 90's again.
What was up with the wedding attire. Blair looked cute, but Vanessa and Serena's dresses were ugly IMO. |

pregnant!

I totally think that Vanessa broke it off with Dan so she could hit up on Dan. And Dan... what a total jerk! Poor Serena thought that she killed someone and
would probably go to jail for murder and was petrified that Dan would condemn her because he is so judgey judgey! At least she is taking it well. Personally, I
think Dan is a boring prude and that Serena can do better!
And Chuck!!! NOOOOOO! It was almost like his Dad was baiting him... trying to freak him out or something but I don't think he was... but boy did he! I knew that Lily and Rufus wouldn't end up together... they need SOMEONE on the show to have some sexual tension and be able to have an affair. I predict that they will hook up again next season.

Does anyone find it interesting how understanding Chuck's dad was about Lily's affair with Rufus? He obviously knew, and told her that she needs to
finish it if she plans on marrying him. He has standards! Although, it does seem very much like a marriage of convenience between him and Lily.

~*Paike*~Yeah, I found it interesting that he was all bygones abut that. Very strange indeed. Maybe because of the way he treated
her when they were dating before. He just slept around so he figured she had the right to? I think for Lily it is totally convenience. Not so sure about him
though.

'Gossip Girl' producers eye spinoffCo-star Taylor Momsen a candidate for new seriesJune 11, 2008, 01:00 AM
The makers of "Gossip Girl" are planning a spinoff series set at a girls boarding school.
Producers are hoping to expand the popular CW show by either giving co-star Taylor Momsen her own series or by introducing a new character in the fall who is later spun off. Regardless of which actor is used, the story would likely draw on the arc of Momsen's character Jenny Humphrey in the "Gossip Girl" book series for inspiration. Humphrey is a self-esteem challenged outsider who struggles to fit in. In the books, a series of public embarrassments (such as appearing in a teen magazine wearing next to nothing) results in Humphrey having to either repeat ninth grade or find a new school. She elects to enter a boarding school and reinvents herself as a popular girl. Her story is told in a series of six "Gossip" spinoff novels called "The It Girl." The big question is whether such a project would be picked up by the CW. The network already has two teen dramas set in high school this fall -- "Gossip" and "90210," a contemporary spinoff from the 1980s Fox series -- as well as "One Tree Hill," in which the characters recently graduated from high school. Plus, though "Gossip" has a devoted following and significant cultural buzz, its ratings are pretty modest. Alloy Entertainment owns both book series, co-produces the TV show and has a first-look deal with "Gossip" series co-producer Warner Bros. Television, whose parent, Warner Bros. Entertainment, co-owns the CW. All of which means the CW has right of first refusal on any "Gossip" spinoff. If refused, Alloy could in theory shop the project to cable networks that target young women, including ABC Family and MTV. Broadcast scripted series spinoffs are increasingly common, with NBC's "The Office" and Fox's "Family Guy" having new shows launch next season. Such others as Fox's "Prison Break" and "House" are at an early stage similar to "Gossip," with producers intending to introduce characters for a potential spinoff but without a series commitment. A CW spokesman declined comment. |

~*I knew about the It Girl books but I think the series would suffer without Jenny.

Agreed. It's too early for a spin off.

The CW shows are basically tanking to the point that the network might fold and I think the execs there are just grasping at whatever straws they can in order
to build ratings.

Yep, its too early yet for that. Plus I don't want to see Jenny go.

'Gossip Girl' spin-off reports 'premature,' according to creatorJun 11, 2008, 01:03 PM | by Tim Stack Categories: Gossip Girl Despite a report today from the Hollywood Reporter, a Gossip Girl spin-off, potentially featuring Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), is not a sure thing, according to the show's creator, Josh Schwartz. "The books do have a spin-off, but we have no plans right now for a TV spin-off," Schwartz tells EW.com "Everyone is focused on making season 2 as good as possible -- that's our goal right now. Not saying never, just very premature." Gossip Girl, which returns for its sophomore season this fall, is the 195th-ranked show on television with 2.3 million viewers. It's the CW's ninth-ranked show, behind Supernatural, One Tree Hill, and Smallville. |
